A word about the old Star Trek show

I ran across an interesting opinion on a forum I read. Here's the quote, since you need to register to see that part of the forum:

I don't intend to start a flame war about which Trek is best, since there are things in all of them that appeal to one person or another. But I've always thought that TNG felt sterile, and this quote gives a good account of its affect on me.
